I think the OP is mistaking "nagging" for "reminding".
Examples.
Reminding: Don't forget to move that thing before company comes over.
Nagging: Go move that thing now, because you're not going to remember and then you are going to have to move it while company's here and I don't want them seeing it right when they come in. Don't wait till the show's over, go move it now!

You are correct. Just to be clear, she doesn't DEMAND anything on the spot. That shite wouldn't fly and there would be immediate issues.
This is more about asking/reminding 2-3 times. Maybe 4-5.
