Ginger Baker partook of many substances. Repeatedly.
He was in Blind Faith, Graham Bond Organisation, had two bands, Airforce and Baker Gurvitz Army.
He also played with Fela Kuti, Andy Summers, Jack Bruce, PiL, and probably a lot that don´t come to mind. Ah, McCartney and Wings Band on the Run.

Saw Cream at the Forum in L.A. in 1968 at the height of their popularity. What a band. Ginger came off as a bitter old man in the movie clips I saw, but I guess he's got terminal cancer or something ... that would sour anyone's mood no doubt.
