this always happens. anytime the GOP expresses concern over a topic that is extremely damaging for the Dems, they immediately rush out and say its all for political gain and they don't really care.
but its completely ok for them to use an incident like Sandy Hook to push their agenda

There was a point where an investigation was warranted. A year and half and a few independent investigations later, along with a handful of Congressional hearings, and still no smoking gun, it's time to move on. Not to even mention the manner in which Issa conducted his hearings. We've long passed the point where this was a legitimate story. It turned into a political ploy to damage the sitting President and the potential 2016 Democratic presidential nominee a long time ago. Sorry not everyone shares your concern.
