I want to say its a 8 hour drive, if I remember correctly. I can hunt a week straight in november, which should be rut, the week before Christmas, and 2 weeks after Christmas for sure. I may be able to get a couple other short trips in.

congrats on the new lease. just make sure you take advantage of it. and this doesn't sound like a meat-hunting club, so don't think of it that way.
