Smallville

As much I loved smallville, if they were going to do one centered around Superman without the character like "Gotham" is with batman, I would prefer they do a series based on Krypton's final days. The book, "The last days of Krypton" by Kevin Anderson would be a great starting point. It would chronicle the rise of General Zod as the head of Krypton's military forces and crises such as faora running rampant and Kandor's border disputes, his friendship with Jor-El, Krypton's encounters with Braniac and Darkseid, Jor-El's investigation and discovery of Krypton's impending death, General Zod's attempted coup of Krypton's ruling council, and then finally the death of Krypton and Jor-El and Lara sending Kal-El off to Earth as their world dies around them.

I would watch.

I just think the concept is dumb. So we are expected to believe Gordon really made a difference before Batman?

If anything, the show (trailer) presents Gotham going to crap on his watch. I don't know about this show. I really think the concept of commissioner Gordon has always been silly.

FOX

They literally agree to almost any/everything hoping it'll work out. Will be canceled.

Not a stretch to think that someone worked their way up to the highest office in the police force of a major city by making a difference.

So what awesome shows did FOX cancel after six episodes? Family Guy aired 49 before they pulled the plug. Arrested Development ran for 53. Futurama ran for 72.

This is all based on Firefly not having an audience after 11 episodes?

Also, Donal Logue is in EVERYTHING. Probably one of the most recognizable actors that no one can name in the biz.

He just got his face smashed in in Vikings.

Hard to trust that network with the way they kick good series in the arse even when everyone is apparently loving the show.

"Everyone" doesn't count when it's a tiny portion of the viewing audience.

Which has enough of an actual following to get renewed.
