Yall are sleeping on Enes Kanter.
Someone mentioned him the other day. I looked at his stats and he did seem like a less proven version of Monroe, ie decent rebounding, offensive big. Neither Monroe or Kanter are good defenders, but they have the size to save some of the wear and tear on AD, and one of Monty's concerns/wishes in his exit interview was a center that was good enough on offense to let AD be guarded by the opposing PF rather than C.
I wonder if Utah would have any interest in Gordon. They'll have a TON of cap space, well below the salary floor even if they max out Hayward. Maybe Gordon, Babbit and our 2015 1st for Kanter? I was willing to give up that pick to move Gordon, if you could do it to move Gordon and get your 3rd big...

I hate giving up consecutive firsts, but I wouldn't be upset with that trade.

Um, why do they want only pfs guarding Davis? Davis is skill and speed right now. How many centers can contain him from 15-18ft with his shot and dribble game? Or run with him down the court?
Monty never ceases to amaze me in his rigid positionality approach.

That's the catch. They know Hayward is not a number 1 option. Maybe they think Gordon gives them another creator to go with Burke? Burke, Gordon, Hayward, Burks is a nice 4 man perimeter core.

They're sitting in a pretty good situation. If they max Gordon and get the first pick in the draft, they will still have over $20 million in cap space. Roughly $22 million of space with a $15/year for Hayward and $5.5/year for 1st overall pick. Swapping Gordon + 1st for Kanter would still leave them with $13 million in space, and their roster would look pretty good.
Guards: Burke, Burks, Gordon
Forwards: Hayward, Parker/Wiggins, Evans
Big Guys: Favors, Gobert
Space: Upwards of $10 million
Picks (ETA): Two 1st round picks in 2014, 2015, 2017
Would be a pretty solid roster IMO.
