Strong. Difference in power from a 6.0 to a 7.0 is about 32x in released energy. That would make the recent Japan earthquake(9.0) about 32,000+ times more powerful than a 6.0.

Are we gonna wake up to a tsunami?
Posted on 4/23/14 at 10:45 pm to BRgetthenet
I like to wake up to bj's, but I'm married so there's a much better chance I'll wake up to a tsunami.
That being said, hope they don't get one.

Same here. And I also hope they don't get hit.

Wake up to a tsunami.
Well, not exactly "wake up". I don't know a good term that covers the transition from deep comfortable sleep to stark terror combined with drowning and house collapse.

Probably shouldn't sleep tonight, just in case.
