You can talk to anyone in the industry right now or google information. There is an unreal amount of work going on in the energy and refining industry among others. Ask the companies that are trying to get skilled workers to staff turnarounds all over the country.
And it's no BS, in the next 3 or so years, southeast TX and SW La is going to see over $100 billion in investments made with new construction and refurbishments.
La was told to plan and start trying to get some more comprehensive training plan in place years ago, but really didn't listen.

There are companies struggling to find reliable people for MAINTENANCE around some of these plants.
That's why I find it laughable when people say that there are plenty of people in the area skilled enough to fill these jobs.
