I have an issue with the front end on my F-250. I'm pretty sure that it's the hub on the driver's side. However, I'd like to take it to a mechanic who can diagnose the problem before spending 400 bucks on a new hub and it not fixing the issue. Any recommendations for a decent 4WD mechanic in the area?

Hub assembly on the wheel? If so, just jack it up and see if there is any play?

Is the transfer case going into 4wd, but the front tires won't actually spin? Since you said 4wd, I am assuming you meant the lockout hub
