Anyone know if this play is similar to the Utica in Ohio? Or more like the Bakken?
Anyone know the average TVD of this formation?
Would be nice to steer some wells closer to home instead of always having to travel all over the damn country.

TVD around 18,000 on the last well. I think the lower target area is 12.5-13.5k in most areas.
Floyd Wilson with Halcon says its a lot like the Eagle Ford.
They continue to make progress on completing these wells. Word is a well was just completed in 32 days.

I hear a second just started producing at around 1200 a day, but cost of wells are high around 15 million so this is going to make it slow expanding. I don't know a lot about this so it's just what I was told. I have 300 acres in west felicina parish so hope it comes in

Everyone knows there's oil down there, problem is getting it out and remaining profitable.

Well going in off 441 right now on the prettiest hunting land I hunted. All hard woods, river, creek. Beautiful

No well going in there but kinda close.
Large group of fields in upper left corner. Southern most field in the pic is where the well is going in. Well was spudded last week.

No
441 north of Easleyville is were it will be going in. Roads are in place and the "pad" area selected. Won't be long from what I am told.
I have not seen it so I cant say what it looks like, I am only going by what is being told to me.

My bad.
There are already permits in place for building a man camp for 5000 workers and lay down yard in southern W.Feliciana parish on 500 acres.

421, Anything going on in that area? I'm on the 61 side, a couple of miles down 61 when you turn off, sure would like to see that area get going

I have been watching this play for some time.
I have been hoping it would pan out. It sure would be nice to move closer to south la.
