I love doing these for some perspective on our season.
Defense wins championships. Offense will get you to Omaha but without defense, all you will be is a sad sack of emptiness like Mississippi State last season when they got to the CWS but lost to UCLA.
So here is a breakdown of LSU this season compared to UCLA from 2013. I couldn't get the numbers exactly so UCLA is through 40 games and LSU is through 41. Sorry guys.

I don't understand why we can't steal, it baffles me.

ULL is 2013 lsu and we're 2013 UCLA, we'll meet them 1st game in Omaha and beat them by 1

So if we could steal we would stay out of double plays

UCLA hit a stride at the right time. UCLA wasn't the best team in Omaha but they won the tournament. the CWS doesn't crown the best team it crowns the team who won the NCAA tourney.

So last year our era was lower then UCLAs and our hitting was way better.
This year our hitting is worse and era is the same yet we are now better bc we are similar to UCLA?

We were the best team in baseball last year, our best hitters just choked at the worst possible time.
