It certainly is related to taking names different than their slave names. So I would argue it's African-American at the very least.

Not at all. I've never heard about Asian names or Middle Eastern names hampering peoples' ability to get jobs. Same with Latino.

Nope. It's an acknowledgment that the dysfunctionals in our society place an identifying tag on their offspring. It says a lot about that culture and very little about imaginary "white privilege."
