a 22-23 year old with no kids or wife making 55k a year is the equivalent of living in a box?
You mean if he has no social life, an 8 year old car, and a crappy apartment?
In that case sure. I guess that's comfortable to some people.

You are a fricking idiot. If he is living in BR like his profile says, 55k a year is plenty enough for a 22 year old.
If that isnt enough, what amount do you think a college graduate with no kids needs to live comfortably?

You serious Clark? 55k for a young single guy is enough to live fairly well just about anywhere in the country.
I assume you're about 15 and think you'll graduate making 100k. That might happen for 1% of grads.

Lol at anyone thinking $55K right out of college isn't enough to live on. Assuming he doesn't go buy a new car and has a decently priced apartment, let's call it $800/month, the dude is looking at almost $2K to live on a month.
Let's takeout some monies for gas, cell phone, utilities and call it $1500/month. That's almost $400 he has to spend a week on food, hookers, blow, and booze.
Dude will be able to do whatever he wants in reason at that salary.

Well if his social life involved doing an 8 ball a weekend, buying extravagant sports cars, constantly going on vacation, and being a douchebag in general, then yeah he can't afford that. But if you're just normal, want to have a good time, and live in a nice neighborhood, then 55K can buy that. Douche.

55K right out of school with no kids/debt isnt bad, at all. If you cant live comfortably off that then you're a dumbass
