Mom smoking marijuana drives 12 miles with baby in car seat that she left on top the roof of the car.
Judge rules no jail time. What say you?

But...will this disqualify her from running for President?

The judge should be defrocked and put in jail herself.

Come to think of it, at least Romney had the container strapped down securely. I don't see how this unsecured baby seat didn't slide off.

18 - 36 months in prison maybe.
I am no Judge, but zero jail time is insane.

Holding three months jail time over her head is a joke. There's little impetus for her to give a crap about following the probation guidelines for 16 years.

If it would have been a dog she would be disqualified from running for President.

16 years of supervised probation.
Long enough for the baby to grow up, I suppose.

You may be right. I just don't see why she would fear 90 days so much that she would follow their rules for 16 years.

Surprised no one has stated the obvious - take away her kid and sterilize her from further reproduction.

If the little sumbitch stayed on the roof for 12 miles, the Big Chief upstairs must be looking out for him. I can't imagine how people cringed when they saw her driving by.

Which crime, exactly, would you have liked to see her charged with?

She pleaded guilty to child abuse, but there is no mention of whether she still has the child in her custody.
Please, tell me the judge was not stupid enough to let her keep her kid.

edangerment, neglect, etc...
but... if the mom goes to jail, ultimately the baby suffers. Thats likely what the judge as thinking (right or wrong).
Baby goes to foster, mom loses job, etc... and its downhill from there.
i dunno. just trying to make sense of it.

She was 19 when she did it, and 21 when she was sentenced. Wonder what all happened during those two years.

(Valerie Paraso, KFYI News) A Phoenix woman who left her 2-month-old baby on top of a car and drove off has been sentenced.
Catalina Mariah Clouser was sentenced to 16 years of supervised probation and a three- month deferred jail sentence for the June 2012 incident. Under the terms of her probation, she can't have contact with her son unless the visitation is approved by Child Protective Services and the probation department.
Clouser's attorney said her client is upset that she'll someday have to tell her son what happened. Clouser admitted to being high on pot when she left the boy on the roof of her car and drove about 12 miles before she noticed he was missing.
When she returned to the scene around 45th Avenue and Cholla, she was arrested.

Hell, I'd give her a few days in jail for that hair color. It's criminal.

Judge should be removed from the bench. In other news Romney strapped his dog to the car top and drove while pulling a horse trailer for Anne. There should definitely be jail time in this case and it should be a high one given not the wrist slap handed down, given the circumstances and likelihood of outcomes being as severe as they could have been. The fact that it was not I would put into the miraculous category in all honesty.

"her infant son was found miraculously unhurt"
And what would happen to the baby if she had to do time?
