Hawk, I cannot imagine someone defending the actions of DK. The anger is directed at the feds for the way the handled it. Someone posted in an earlier comment, that if they wanted to arrest him, all they needed to do was show up at the Krogers on a Saturday afternoon. They did not want to arrest him as this was not about justice or even the kids, it was about the feds showing us that they are the masters and we are the servants.

This. Koresh isn't really the issue. He may have been completely crazy. Criminal, too. He's still entitled to rights under the Constitution. And no matter how awful he may have been, it doesn't empower the government to abuse its power as it did. Nor excuse it.

It's surprising that many of the same people that are staunchly against how we treated (and renditioned) GWOT captives... have no problem when similar abuses are perpetrated on citizens of the US.
