whole wheat bagel, brown rice, green veggies have trace amounts but I eat a lot. These can vary but you get the idea.

What's your typical day?

not posting a detailed diet here but the breakdown is roughly 50% carb, 35% pro, 15% fat.

Also, only fats are animal?

No Olive Oil?

I occasionally cook with olive oil. I do take in fish oils and have low fat cottage cheese before bed. Should have noted that the bulk of my dietary fat comes from the lean meat I eat.

I use to seek out additional fat sources for my diet (nuts, avocado, whole eggs) but read a few books that suggested getting away from that when taking in a large amount of carbs per day. Ever since I've been able to add calories to my diet and lean up at the same time. By no means am I saying that fats aren't good for you. It's just what I do.

So rough math means you eat 3600 calories a day?

my amateur understanding of this revolves around the same principle. the atkins diet was centered on the understanding/belief/research that bad carbs are the biggest contributor to heart disease, not red meats like commonly believed. if you cut carbs, you can have fats and fatty meats. if you don't cut carbs, you have to watch the fats.

there was a thread on this about a month ago.
