no clue
but I played in class B, and even when we were good (not my senior year ), we struggled with depth issues
all class B and C schools will struggle with depth issues
they might have 3 or 4 solid players, but after that, it gets bad
and they probably don't have much height

Have you ever seen Class B and C boys basketball?
Watch your mouth.
The Zwolle teams from the late '80s and late 2000s would crush Connecticut.
ETA: Reserve Christian (defunct), Excelsior Christian (defunct), Rapides, a few of the Lacassine teams from 2005 and 2006, etc.

pfft
we played Reserve Christian in that period, they weren't that good

I was unaware y'all were talking about this. I have no comment on that.

If you played against a Tweety squad you're lying and you know it

reserve use to ball hard in the 03-05 period probably a little longer as well. I think they also had some decent size to go along with the guard talent.

Dude was good. He stood out to me more than anybody at the tournament.
Reserve played in the "National Division" for the tournament and my team played in the "Texas Division". The Texas winner and the National winner played in a championship game.

It only matters how good they are in relation to other women college basketballers, really.
It's fairly obvious that bodies with less muscle mass, strength, and speed will not perform as well as those with more.
not sure what the point is.

Sounds about right. He was a legend in high school. Played 4 years at Baylor. I think he's overseas now. Was too short for the NBA.

Back to the topic. I saw Simone Augustus play before she went to LSU. She was legit. Legit as any above average (not McDonalds All American) boy high schooler.
There's no way I think the teams I played with could have beaten WNBA players. But college women, I'd say yes.

Dude averaged 23 & 5 in the 8th grade.

I mean I think a team of WNBA allstars would make for a really legit HS boys basketball team.. maybe make the Top 28 in some classifications. But I just think the athleticism of the state champion caliber teams would be too much to overcome. The boys would be stronger, faster, and probably just as tall or close to it. I just don't know how the girls would be able to score vs. pressure defense.

Plus he is the all time leading scorer in United States HS basketball history. 5 state titles. Not bad.

I remember a similar conversation on Max Kellerman's radio show. He was discussing these kind of matchups and at what point would the sides evenly match. It should go without saying that the top HS boys team of any year would run these great college women's team out of the building.
I'm thinking the sweet spot is lower tier boys HS teams because even the average boys HS teams have at least a couple of kids that can dunk. The women's teams would have no defense for that.

The problem is that I don't know how good WNBA players are. The only thing I have to go on is that the girls team at my high school was pretty good. They didn't win State but they were a solid team.
My high school team won state. We played them once, and the score was like 80-something to 0. They didn't score and they only were able to get off like 2 shots. We only played for maybe 15 minutes, and we weren't taking it easy on them. We were going full-out and pressing.
We utterly destroyed them.

Who cares if you destroyed a H.S. girls team...
Talking about H.S. girls is like talking about Little League baseball players and comparing them to MLB.
There's a reason why college basketball has about 2-3 really good teams year in and year out who win it all - all the time. There's about 30-40 great female players on the planet and the rest all suck.
There are very few great female basketball players - but the one's that are great -
UConn, Notre Dame, UT - traditionally - could beat your H.S. team. I don't know if they would but they could. Kevin Hart video showed - that random big black guys can't just show up and bully and ball with the elite female players.
The rest of the female basketball world sucks - which is why teams like UConn boat-race them...

You saw her play against men or you are just extrapolating off of her layup ability?

I'm assuming you saw her play against girls. I saw Simone Augustus play in games with only guys at the REC multiple times while she attended LSU and she would regularly get owned by average players (by REC standards) that couldn't have possibly played a minute of high school basketball. The talent gap is far wider than most assume.
