1. Undertaker has a two decade win streak at Wrestlemania.

2. Streak becomes such a big deal, the Undertaker match is practically another main event and one of the biggest features of the show.

3. Suddenly, its over, seemingly for no reason but the shock factor.

A lot of it had to do with the haircut IMO. You don't shave a playoff beard and you don't go to a Mohawk in the middle of a streak.
