In all seriousness...Can someone recommend a movie to me that is actually scary or unnerving. I don't believe in ghosts or the devil, and zombies don't do it for me either.
I want a movie that leaves me a little mindfricked.
The last movie I saw that made me feel unnerved was "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer". Pretty chilling, just because Serial Killers are a real thing, not made up ghost shite

Hey Spaulding, have you seen the Evil Dead remake?

I'm not a huge fan of the Exorcist, mainly because I don't really like "demonic possession" films. Part of that is due to, well, the success of The Exorcist and now every movie follows every trope and hits every beat. I did think the original Paranormal Activity was an interesting twist on the old themes.
If you like Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, I'm not quite sure what you're looking for. That's a great movie, but I wouldn't really call it horror. It's not "scary" per se, not is American Psycho. Halloween works as a non-paranormal horror. As does The Vanishing.
Or just watch Audition.
