He committed his first murder there.
No thanks.
The house is listed at $295,000. That seems high. I knew the current seller would ask an arm and a leg for it.....

The home was first listed two years ago before being pulled off the market. Realtor Rich Lubinski said it failed to sell then because of the depressed housing market and its notorious past.
"If you can get past that little problem, you'll have a wonderful place to live," said Chris Butler, the home's current owner.

And you just know some crazy people with a serial killer obsession are going to go at it in a bidding war.

There are tons of fricked up people out their who buy serial killer memorabilia. Houses and cars being at the top of the list to own. Yeah, not really news worthy though, just the Realtor doing a good job.

It isn't. It just allowed me to get a couple of cheap laughs with this line...

I couldn't live in that house just due to the number of "so what is in your refrigerator" jokes I would get from guests...

I doubt that the house made him murdery.

If it's so great (and not haunted), then why are you trying to move Chris?

Dahmer committed his first murder in the summer of 1978, at the age of 18, just three weeks after his graduation. At the time, he was living alone in the family home: due to his parents' recent divorce, Dahmer's father temporarily lived in a nearby motel and his mother had relocated to Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin[34] with his younger brother. On June 18,[35] Dahmer picked up an 18-year-old hitchhiker named Steven Mark Hicks.[36][37] Dahmer lured the youth to his house on the pretext of the pair drinking alcohol together. Hicks, who had been hitchhiking to a rock concert in Lockwood Corners, agreed to accompany Dahmer to his house. According to Dahmer, after several hours' drinking and listening to music, Hicks informed Dahmer he "wanted to leave and [I] didn't want him to."[38] In response, Dahmer bludgeoned the youth with a 10 lb. dumbbell. Dahmer later stated he struck the youth twice from behind[39] with the dumbbell as he (Hicks) sat upon a chair. When Hicks fell unconscious, Dahmer strangled the youth to death with the bar of the dumbbell, then stripped the clothes from Hicks's body before masturbating as he stood above the corpse.[39]

That's a nice sized house. I thought he was poorer than that growing up.

No. His dad was a smart /well educated with an advanced degree in Chemistry or Engineering.
Sad thing is his dad saw Dahmer attempting to drag his 1st victim into the basement in a chest. His dad grilled him about what was in the Chest(thought son was hiding drugs perhaps) & even threatened to open it himself if Dahmer didn't answer.
Dahmer cried emotionally about his privacy,etc.... & the Dad let the issue go.
Had the dad insisted on Dahmer opening that Chest he may have saved many lives afterwards.
Many missed opportunities to catch that guy.
