I read an article this morning (sorry will try to find link), about how the media in the US doesn't report as much on international affairs as other some other developed countries. People just aren't exposed to other countries as much, and only a percentage of the population bothers to educate themselves.

I think that may have a lot to do with it.

You know... other than piss poor education.
put a fraud alert on your SS through the bigger credit reporting companies
If your dog has a normal stomach he should be fine. Mine just has the most sensitive stomach of any dog I have ever owned. Very shortly after we got him (about a month or two in), he started yacking in the middle of the night and I had vomit all over.
I tend to have a strict no human food rule since my guy has had a very sensitive stomach since he was a puppy. Gave him chicken skin once (ONCE) and woke up to dog shite everywhere. And that's just the one time

Nuts - All nuts contain fats, which can lead to gastrointestinal upset, such as vomiting and diarrhea. Foods with high fat contents can also potentially produce an inflammatory condition of the pancreas known as pancreatitis. In addition, many commercially sold nuts are salted-and if a pet consumed a large volume of salt from the nuts, this could potentially pose a risk for the development of a sodium ion toxicosis. Nuts known to be toxic are walnuts and macadamia nuts. Brazil nuts - The good news is that there is currently no data indicating that Brazil nuts (Bertholletia excelsa) or almonds (Prunus dulcis) are toxic to animals.

So basically it's a mixed bag. Some nuts no, some maybe.

Lesson learned, keep your dogs away from your nuts

(I'm cracking myself up with all these puns)
Already googled and found my answer but thanks

Also learned that just a handful of raisins can kill a dog. That's nuts

Am I making this up? Nuts and dogs

Are nuts poisonous to dogs?

I was just snacking on some, and my dog looks at me wanting some and for some reason I said "nah bud, I think these can kill you". My SO looked at me funny. I'm pretty sure I'm right though I can't remember why I think/know that
Yup.. you nailed me.

the female discussion is for a different thread, but I can agree with you. I do think women in the U.S who dress better and are more worried about their looks are first or second generation immigrants that have been raised in that type of culture (south American, eastern European, etc)
I can believe that.

I would love to visit, but not live I think.
Since I don't have experience living in Eastern Europe, I can't speak for their standards of living vs. ours, but I will gladly accept that it is not as wonderful as some may think.

for the record, I don't think the standard of living is higher in most if not all Eastern European countries
Not for fracturing your arm. That will get treated immediately. (I know this because a friend broke his arm when drunkenly slipping on ice and had to be taken to the E.R)

I understand that there are certain things you may be placed on a waitlist for.

Again, I don't advocate universal healthcare in the U.S, and really have no dog in this fight. I just think that we have a higher percentage of people who work hard, and still cannot afford "luxuries" vs. Sweden, Denmark, etc

can someone pull a link that shows how many americans don't have this vs. in other developed countries.

eta: ftr, I do not advocate universal healthcare in the U.S

Even lower class Americans have 2 cars, a home, the smartest phone on the market, cable, and the list goes on. Most Europeans don't have these things.

I'm not talking about most European countries. I'm talking about the Scandinavian countries. Where you can live in a nice one bedroom, travel to various exotic locations during one of your 5 weeks of vacation, and have money to spare working at a fast food chain.

I've lived in 3 separate European countries.

I guess it just depends where you lived.
