The last time I was at Hollywood Casino I saw one of those "Call 1-800-xxx-xxxx if you have a gambling problem" signs.

The dealer had a 9 showing and I had a soft 18. I didn't know if I should stand or take a card.

So I called the number on the sign.

They were no help at all, fwiw.....

I'm not much of a gambler. I put $20 in the slots a few times a year and have only played Blackjack in a casino a few times.

I've always been curious, does the double your bet every time you lose thing work?

It seems like it would but I've obviously not done field testing.
