Yes kids get bruises, but if the way you are punishing your child results in them getting bruises, you need to change the way you punish your child. If not for their sake than for yours, because if a teacher sees that you could get arrested.

But that's not what you inferred with your post. You said I was a " sick frick" because I suggested kids bruise. You are the perfect example of the differing methods of parenting. You appear to be the type who would nurture to a fault. My father was more patriarchal than paternal. Justice was swift and undeniable. But I love him with all my heart to this dAy and worship the ground he walks on. Guess I responded to discipline more than reasoning.
To each his own. Whatever my father did, it worked for me.
