Does someone have a link that backs up the outrageous interpretation of this proposal that would raise sales taxes to 11%?

This is the link to the bill. LINK

Where does it propose that taxes be raised to 11% or raised at all?

Is that just an interpretation of the language around a continued collection of 2% sales taxes levied by the parish governing body within the bill? If so.....the thread title is dishonest and incorrect.

The article linked in the OP does not appear draw the OP's conclusion that sales taxes would be hiked by 2% to an 11% rate either.

I'm going to help Russian here and paraphrase his style,

If you are too lazy to look it up, I can't help you. Go find it yourself, I've got better things to do.

In other words (my words), he can't.

You have to wait until they declare a state of emergency in EBR before you can find out what's really in the bill. That part of the language throws me for a loop because then you have to start digging up Louisiana constitutional law.

It was definitely incorrect.

Russian hasn't admitted to being dishonest yet...but he has kind of hinted at it by thanking people for bumping the thread. You would think he would be embarrassed for being this wrong, but instead, he seems happy to continue the spread of this misinformation.

On the other hand, perhaps he is just wrong. He has stated that he has only been wrong twice and refuses to admit he was wrong here. So, maybe it's just his narcissistic tendencies that we are seeing.
