Slavery and then Segregation went on for 200 years but I suppose a wrong that lasted that long should be overcome in 30-40 years. Things take time and if you think its getting worse and not better then you really have no idea whats going on in the real world.

As far as violent crime numbers, jobless rates, and the number of children being born to single moms it absolutely is.

That's bullshite , a good bit of black children have a huge disadvantage , when you grow up around the shite they do , poverty , drugs , crime and below par school systems how can anyone expect them to succeed .....

I wonder if I grew up in that environment would I be strong enough to see through the crap and be able to stay on a straight path to better myself , idk it's asking a lot from these kids that see life a certain way .....
And to the ones that make the right decisions and go on to better themselves congrats , you are a very strong and special person .....

now there are a lot of AA families that are great members of society , don't get me wrong .....

Well said. You could turn this around and ask why there are any low end or middle class whites with the advantage they have had.
But what you will get is "my daddy didnt own no slaves" or "everything is equal now". I honestly think alot of white southerners get the cultural angle but that doesnt help with their self esteem.
