Not sure how it is now, but Parkview wasn't too great for me. I feel that they taught English pretty well, but math and science were lacking. For example, I asked my math teacher what integrals were for. She told me it was for the test. I know my friends at Catholic had a better education.

Also, there were quite a few teachers that tried hard to indoctrinate the kids. My fourth grade science teacher told our class the following: The Grand Canyon was created by the great flood, and dinosaur bones were placed here on Earth by God to make us question our faith.

It's been a while since I was there, so most of the bad things may have changed by now. I hope so. I made some great friends while I was there and had a good enough time. Also, the hot girl to guy ratio was good when I went there.

Why wouldn't you just put your child in a different public school if BR High is no longer an option? I've been told over and over how much the EBRPSS has improved over the past couple of years.

St. James for feeder school then Episcopal for 6th-12th and its not even close. The college prep is second to none in the state. The hands down best campus of any high school I've ever seen.

If you send your child to a magnet middle school, he is guaranteed admission to BRMHS. if not, then send him to Catholic High , school of champions.

Every private school thread in here eventually turns into a Catholic High circle jerk thread.

Thing you need to know about catholic schools is most kids know each-other from elementary and middle school.

Parkview is a good option. Academics are slightly better than average and it's a pretty positive environment. Not too expensive-lots of cool parents, good student life with lots of activities.

Mine are at BRMHS and the feeder schools into BRMHS. But we had them at Parkview when they were younger and were reasonably satisfied.

Send him to parkview. I graduated chs and it was lame. Helped me in getting jobs after I graduated but my time there sucked. A buddy's girlfriend went to parkview and we would go meet her at lunch when we were off and they weren't. There was way more girls than boys, the boys were d bags typically and the girls were sluts. I wanted to transfer so bad. Parents would never let me.

I'd probably send my kid to Dunham or Catholic if I was going the private school route.

EHS is nice, but too expensive and just not where I'd want to send my kid. U-High has the "too cool" feel. I wouldn't want to send my kid to a school on a college campus. Runnels is alright and not crazy expensive compared to others, but I think you can get better education elsewhere. Parkview has trashy arse girls.

Dunham seems very conservative, but they have a ton of money and shite. Good programs.

Catholic would be my first choice, then Dunham.

I wish I would have went to Catholic.

Only BR schools I'd consider, period, are EHS and Catholic.
