Pick the Prelim 30-man WC roster

I want to get a feel of this board in what spots do they think are up for grabs.
If you had to pick the May camp roster, what would it look like and what do you think would be the fiercest battles?
Here's mine:
GK(3): Howard, Guzan, Rimando
– No point in bringing in anybody else, those will be the three in Brazil.
D (9): Cameron, Gonzales, Besler, Beasley, Goodson, Evans, Yedlin, Parkhurst, Brooks
– I really think Yedlin is going to push Evans hard for that second RB spot. Also, you have to bring in Parkhurst just to see if he can get a spot since he has experience at every backline position. Also, give Brooks one last shot to push for a CB spot. I don't think he is ready yet, but we really need somebody to compete and push Gonzales, Goodson and Besler.
M (11): Donovan, Zusi, Bradley, Jones, Beckerman, Fab Johnson, Bedoya, Mix, Kljestan, Davis, Edu
– The battles here are interesting because, for the most part, our starting midfield is set and even the backups are pretty entrenched here. The question is if a guy like Kljestan can come in and beat out Mix, can Edu beat out Beckerman and can Davis beat out either Zusi or Bedoya.
F (7): Altidore, Dempsey, Johannson, Green, GAM, Boyd, Wondo
– Safe to say that Altidore, Dempsey and Bacon are going, barring injury. After that it gets real interesting because those last four listed will be battling for 1 or 2 spots.

1) You didn't follow the premise of this thread at all.
2)
Why in the frick would we be subbing out GK's in the world cup?
3)
How in the frick do you not have Fabian Johnson playing at all?

If we win games 1 and 2, I wouldn't mind playing Guzan against Germany. I don't really think there's any drop off between the two.

I would add Feilhaber to the midfield in place of Edu, Davis, GAM, Wondo, or Boyd.

There will be a 4th I would guess in case there is an injury to one of these 3

Yedlin has upside but to me he REALLY needs to do something big and fast in order to garner serious consideration. His lack of minutes with the first team hurts him big time. And to me, it's still up in the air for Kilinsy between Brooks and Gooch

Edu and Danny Williams are interchangeable here and both questionable for consideration. I still think Shea makes the 30 like it or not

I really dont see the point of bringing in Boyd at all

Looking back at the last 2 world cups, we've never brought in a 4th GK to the prelim camp.
It's just pointless to waste a spot on a 4th GK (a player that would almost assuredly never play a second) when you can use that spot for a field player that has a chance to make the final 23.

Ok I was just making a guess. Didn't feel like looking back.

I think this is a pretty comprehensive list. I could see one or two surprises being thrown in (not anyone I can think of) just because JK seems to always have a couple of oddballs.
As far as defenders go what's Chandler's status is he still injured? I could definitely see him as someone who could come into camp and challenge for a spot on the backline.
Overall awesome list though

Will never get another call-up while Jurgy's in charge.
Also, Cameron >>>>>> Chandler

Why? I know that he has had problems with him in the past but he is a proven european player that provides quality depth for a weak defensive unit at the very least

Because he's a cancer.

All I know is if Edu makes the roster I may kill myself. To me, he is this cycles Bornstein except he probably will not make the roster and doesn't really play for the team anymore.

What do you make of the fact that, even when he has been healthy, Chandler is the only Germerican that has not been called back in to a USMNT camp since the Honduras friendly when the Strauss article came out?
Even if he were healthy, Chandler does not deserve to go to the world cup.

Post-Mexico Bump.
No more USMNT games until the 30-man comes out.

If Green makes it to Brazil, It's with an eye toward 2018. I think shea and GAM are both for useful if we're trying to win a game in Brazil.

I don't think he's a lock to make the final 23, but he will probably be in the prelim roster.

Green absolutely needs to be in the 30 man. There are some guys that have been listed that have been given many opportunities and failed to impress, specifically Davis to me.

Right or wrong, I think Green is a shoe-in.
