Taylormade SLDR, is it worth the hype?

Ive hit it several times (inside and outside) and im simply not impressed. I think the SLDR 430 is pretty good, but for the hype this SLDR 460 is getting I was expecting better. Anyone else feel the same way?

I've only demo'd it indoors. I don't know how much I trust those computer simulator things. According to it, I was bombing everything. I'm satisfied with my RBZ.

What kind of bomb?
There's three different kinds.

I guess if you feel like you're not impressed with it especially when you hit it, just don't get it. I got lucky with my R11 in that I bought it because it was cool and white, but I have been really happy with it.

Don't they give you a full refund if you don't like it?
That's what the commercials said I thought.

Yes - ask any club fitter, they will likely agree.
It's long (TWSS).

Love mine. Still a very hot club.

I'm waiting very impatiently to get my hands on the SLDR Mini

if you are willing to go through an extensive fitting, modifications to the driver head and likely upgrading to a $300+ shaft then yes it might be. If anyone is just buying off the rack then its all hype. It has been reported as the most returned club this yr

That has to be by in large due to stupid, right?

I just get the feels that some dudebrah cockwalks into Dick's, backwards visor and all, picks up that righteous SLDR because TAYLORMADE and expects to bomb it down the fairway.

if not fit correctly that design does not work for many. A high forward center of gravity is opposite of any other driver on the market.

I see a few around my club but see a lot more RBZ stage 2's still in play

RBZ Stage 2 is still a relatively new club, though right? That's just last year I though.

Not new in terms of TM

also, the pro there is on TM staff, so all of the equipment in the pro shop has been TM and Adams
probably 75% of the folks out there play TM.....none of them have much interest in branching out
not that TM doesn't make damn good clubs, but there are plenty of other solid options
