He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.
He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.

George III cannot hold a candle to the invasions and oppressions being visited upon the citizenry by Fed Gov.

I don't know if Obama can help himself. He's just a product of the natural progression of a more and more oppressive national government beginning with Lincoln. The system can't be fixed.
We can expect the next president to be at least as oppressive to his adversaries as Obama is to his. The libs better hope it's not a GOP president or they'll be grabbing the ankles.

That 3% tariff on tea was pretty damn bad.

I am not limiting this statement to Obama

If the values of that document were still part of American society today then our nation would be in much better shape. Too bad...

Even George III. would be astonished at the amount of the government abuse we've suffered at the hands of Obama/Bush/congress/ any other member of our federal bureaucrat overlords. Christ, imagine what the Founding Fathers would have thought about Feinstein/Pelosi.

Dare I say it; those values were born out of a Christian nation.

What law did Obama veto that you consider to be "the most wholesome and necessary for the public good" ?
Just curious.

Then a nation formed by people that predominantly lived by Christian values. Is that better?

What distinguishes "Christian values" from the values the rest of us have?

Faith in God and Jesus as the final arbiter?

OK. So what difference does that make in government?

The rest of "us" don't troll as well as you do.

Now that you're making me think about it a little, if people of the time of our founding lived true to Christian values there would not have been a need for government.

Does "Christian values" mean you always agree with your neighbor? If you accidentally run over my cow with your horse drawn carriage and kill him, "Christian values" means we will automatically agree on what you owe me?
Even the most civil people disagree with one another.
