If the Oscars included all films ever made, and rolled it into one giant awards show. What movie would win best film today? Do classics still hold their value?

If only there was a place to discuss Movies and Tv shows

I'm confused. Was this thread a fancy attempt at asking what the best movie ever is?

It might be a film that didn't win the first time around (Pulp Fiction) or one that wasn't even nominated (Bladerunner).
However, if it must be a past Best Picture winner - it is Patton for me.

For me? Absolutely - I'm more likely to select a film 25 years or older, than one less than 5 years old at this point, if I have the final say - and I've seen most of the great movies of the older age category.

I seem to remember a few threads on here along the lines of "if you had to show some ancient person one and only one movie, what would it be" and taking everything into account the M/TV board concensus was Wizard of Oz.
So I imagine lots of folks would pick that.
