Sotomayor and Kagan revealed for all of the world to see that they are the most unqualified nominees to the Supreme Court in the last 100 years or more.
Their arguments were completely based on rhetoric and propaganda - there was no constitutional analysis whatsoever that I have seen from either one of them.
Obama has left a swath of destruction in his wake at every turn - these two in the long run may prove to be the most damaging component of his tenure.

quote:There's no "may" about it. These two both view their position on the bench as one from which to further their ideology. shite. They don't even really need to be lawyers to do what it is they want to do.

Which is my number one strategic concern.
This is why I can confidently argue that the 'GOP is just as bad as the DEMs' falls flat on its face.
While individual points can be argued - and I suggest that the GOP is slightly better than the DEM in any significant debate - there is no doubt that ANY GOP POTUS would select a better quality of SCOTUS nominee.
And two more DEM appointees to the SCOTUS will permanently destroy the constitution. You might as well allow the constitution to be rewritten every week by another fifth grade inner school class on a field trip to Baskin Robbins.
