All you have to do is wait for when someone from an opposing party wins the presidency.

Hell, it happened with many after Obama won. Many on both sides switched opinions about these programs.

You know, I keep wondering why all the shock about the revelations of government spying. Assuming the government (and not Al Gore) created the Internet, did anyone think they would open it up to the public without being able to monitor every transaction ? How could one think that all this data could flow across the web without someone pulling it in ?

I gave you barely any credibility before this thread, but you have absolutely proven me wrong. I should have given you no credibility whatsoever, you fricking hack. you are entertaining, I guess.

Yep. That is a pretty good depiction of what I referred to in my previous post.

if someone like snowden did the things snowden did during bush's reign, would the democrats praise him?

I certainly think they would. remember when dissent was patriotic?

Snowden will always be a hero. Our meddling government creates most of its own political problems internationally by playing world cop.

Exactly what I am saying.

Many Republicans supported the Patriot Act while Bush was president and became opponents when Obama won.

Many Democrats were opponents with Bush and now support it.

Pretty sad.

Hmm. Sounds like our government is reaping the results of their bull shite. Perhaps off they hadn't lost their minds on domestic surveillance, they would have been fine on this. Griping about Snowden here is like blaming the cop for u being late to work when u get busted speeding

that's what's great about being a pro-feedom, anti-war liberal during bush II, turning to libertarianism in 08 or so

yes, they only hate it when the government takes their liberties if the president is a Republican. They trust Barry with spying on them.
