I also believe Reagan would avoid war if possible but show he would if pushed into it. Somehow, this is missing in Obamas strategy. Of course, we have no idea what Obama is telling him behind the scenes and vise versa. Putin isn't crazy.

Just my opinion....but the entire world should be concerned when one nation threatens the the territory or sovereignty of another. We can't go at it alone, but we can't ignore it either.

It's not silly, it makes great sense.

The problem is, and Russian knows this, that this is about the G7 economies vs the BRIC economies. Ukraine is a pivotal area and both want to control it, it's a great capture for the G7 both economically and militarily if we get Ukraine.

We are not a nation that can succeed independently. We've turned our currency into the global reserve, we've built an economy that relies on cooperation from countries around the globe, there's a lot more that can be said, but basically we can not just sit back and take care of our own backyard, we've installed a system that requires imperialist motives.

The question is what Merkel is thinking, right now?

If Germany wants Ukraine in NATO and Europe is prepared for the consequence of pursuing it then that's more important than anything we can do unilaterally.

The problem is, with the way it's being handled by our president, we are being set up to have to go at it alone.

What in the holy frick?

What do you mean we "HAVE to"?

When will Americans ever stop thinking in terms of killing our own young people for the problems of others?

Considering Russia was the 8th member, and they're a BRIC nation, I think it's safe to call it G7 in this context.

"Nevertheless the G7 still exists to discuss economic and financial issues. The G7 does not include the world's largest emerging economies such as Brazil, China, India and Russia." LINK

I forget, was that before or after he evacuated the surviving Marines from Beirut?

Obviously I don't - in spite of your absurd reduction.

Can you please provide an example in which we would HAVE to go to war in this situation?

You can call it anything you want to. But G7 doesn't exist now. It's the G8.

It may become the G7 again if the other 7 members vote Russia out, but for now it's the G8. LINK

Dude, look at your own fricking statement:

quote:

Let's say it's the worst case scenario and we HAVE to go to war over this, what then? Who are we fighting for?

So now you're saying we would have to go to war "over this" if Russia attacks us.

Russia attacking us wouldn't exactly be "over this". We would have to have done something else, something really stupid for them to go to war with us. And then, we wouldn't really be going to war over them attacking us as much as going to war over having done something stupid ourselves.

You are trolling.
