I've honestly never been able to understand depression. My thought process is shite happens to everyone, just power through it. I've had a whole bunch of bad stuff go on and have been through long period of being numb to stuff, but my personality allows me to just think "frick it". From what I have seen, people who are "depressed" make themselves feel worse just by thinking that they are depressed. Getting off of your arse and quit moping around will help tremendously. Sitting around just makes it worse

As for the anxiety part, I hadn't ever felt it until last year, and it is only test anxiety. I get it 30 minutes before big tests, but just nut up and know I have to get shite done. Once I start, it all goes away because concentration doesn't allow me to think about it. Now, I just relax an hour before and watch TV or something that takes my mind off of it. I'll still get a few minutes of anxiety before tests, but not as serious as before

Eta: I could be talking out of my arse about the depression part because I honestly don't think I have the ability to feel that. As a matter of fact, I don't think I have ever felt any primary emotions other than anger for longer than a few minutes. I don't feel sad or happy. Weird, but that's how my brain works, and maybe that is why I am not able to feel depression
