This is the 'rubber' match against Kentucky. Reminds me of the '86 run

where we lost to UK twice during the season and again in the SECT, only to take them down in the "one that counts" for the right to go to the 'Final Four'. What a season that was. I just hope we are able to best UK tonight so we can stay alive for our slim NCAA chance!

Just curious bc I was only 6 years old for the 86 season, but what at all is reminiscent of the '86 season?
Its not our record against kent bc as you pointed out we were 1-3 that year, now we 1-1. Is it that we need to beat Kentucky to keep our ncaa tourney hopes alive?
