Shreveport?

Try Crawdaddy's for oysters. I've been there and I recommend.

A few weeks back, someone posted the top 20 Lake Charles restaurants published by maybe the Chamber of Commerce or some other such outfit.

The deli counter at WalMart was #12. That outta tell you something.

I'm here once or twice a month and trust me it's a food wasteland.

If I lived there, I would eat Balls Fried Yardbird everyday. That's about all I can say about the Chuck.

They still got the "Crab Palace" over there? Had a bowl of their seafood gumbo in their yellow plastic bowls - pretty good shite!

You thinking of Seafood Palace? They make a good gumbo and probably have plastic tableware.

Yeah that's Seafood Palace. Used to work near there, and it was hard not to order gumbo once a week.

Checkered plastic table cloths - yellow plastic bowls for gumbo/potato salad, plastic tableware?

But seriously, gumbo was great.

It stopped being the Crab Palace nearly 20 years ago.

No one said it was fine dining either.
