Y'all don't understand traffic.
The problem is not lee being two lanes, the problem is college between Perkins and Corporate.
Having multiple high traffic business driveways coming onto the street in a 1 block length screws of the right lane completely going towards I-10.
Add in the traffic lights being timed poorly between corporate/I-10 and its always a cluster.

Synchronization of traffic signals throughout Baton Rouge was on the agenda a few years ago, within the proposed tax plan that included Audubon Alive. It was voted down.

This is true too. Lee backs up when it crosses Perkins and turns into College as it is. 2 lanes would not help the stretch from Perkins to I-10.

The McDonald's entrance from College causes problems heading the other way. It should never have been allowed. There should be no left turns in that block until Perkins.

The amount of uncontrolled access points along College is astounding. Same down Perkins towards town. That area is a relic of big box/free access design.

I understand traffic. I've been driving this city all day every day for forty years. You are correct, College is a problem. And a two lane Lee Drive is a problem. And anyone that thinks Rouzan, which can dump onto Perkins or Lee is the reason for traffic or a traffic concern is the one that doesn't understand traffic. That development is minimal.
