honestly, I don't get this shite.
either abortion is murder or it isn't. these time constraints and exceptions flip my "feel-good" legislation switch for people to feel better over the fact abortion is legal.

5 months is nothing
well seeing how mississippi's only abortion clinic stops doing abortion after 4 months in mississippi 5 months is nothing.

if it was my daughter I would be all loving and caring and allow her to make a decision up until the deadline approaches then I would let her be aware that the deadline is approaching and she need to make a decision.

sorry pal, abortion is legal and always will be. these types of arguments are just as asinine as progressives arguing for gun confiscation. your side lost the argument, move on.
What a poorly thought out statement. "You lost, move on." Do you believe Obamacare should not be fought because it got passed into law? So you are perfectly fine with this Mississippi law even though it does not have a provision for rape or incest because it now defines what is "legal"?
So you are for unequal protection under the law, if the child's father is a criminal?

the SCOTUS has ruled on all 3, all 3 are constitutional. so in that sense, yes, you should quit fighting it.
roe vs wade will NEVER be overturned - period. so arguing about the "child" (sorry but its a fetus) is pointless. if you want to argue about something else, go right ahead.

actually I do...no one wants to get an abortion.
EVERYONE wants to have a choice.
Of course people like you don't get that. It's all black and white to you.
Everyone does not want the choice to be ability to kill a baby. In fact polling data shows the pro-abortion crowd is losing serious ground on the matter.
It is interesting who is using absolutes in their typing and then turning around and projecting on others.
There are women who use abortion like birth control so to say "no one wants to get an abortion" is BS.
Why do you have the guy you do in your avatar. Do you know he was what you are referring to as an extremist on the pro-life side?

A rape victim doesn't need, deserve or should get tough love of any sort.
Agreed but a rape victim that is pregnant from the rape will have to make a decision and she may need tough love to help her make the decision. I would never force my daughter to have an abortion if she didn't want it but if she was in that situation I would be aware of the deadline and make sure she is aware of the deadline. I would support her whatever the decision was but she would have to make a decision.
just another reason I hope I have all sons

Who said anything about overturning Roe vs Wade? Not me. I also don't think it will ever get overturned, nor do I think that abortion will ever be outright banned. Nice strawman though.
No, my argument was against the inclusion of a rape and incest clause. It provides un-equal protection based on the "sins of the father", so to speak. If the law says that the child cannot be aborted and must be protected after 20 weeks or 24 weeks or 2 weeks or 40 weeks, then there are no grounds to not protect all.
And I'll call it a child if I wish. Sorry if that makes you uncomfortable, but people should be reminded what a tragic thing an abortion is, whether it's legal or not. It's the destruction of a distinct, innocent human life. It is profoundly sad, and I believe reflects very poorly on us as humans that we can disregard those lives so easily.

It's not murder.
Pretty simple actually.

Now, now don't throw reality in here. The pro-abort crowd prefers to dehumanize the real victims in this crime against humanity. Use euphemisms wherever possible and make sure no one sees images that show just how human these babies are. And whatever you do, do not mention fetal pain studies that show those babies writhing in pain during the "procedures".

It is the ending of an innocent life. State sanctioned though it is murder is the correct term. No different than an innocent man being put to death on death row, no different than droning an innocent hut full of villagers because of faulty intel, no different than smashing another vehicle while drunk, all murders. We can call them collateral damage, homicide, accidents, whatever but at the end of the day when an innocent life is taken it is murder.

this might be the dumbest thing ever written. its a fetus as its "rights" are whatever the hell its carrier says they are. so if the woman is raped, or the victim of incest, she shouldnt be punished because it took her longer to make a decision about carrying the fetus to term than you think is ok.

yeah, sounds a whole lot like you want abortion banned entirely, which is where your idiotic stance is coming from. sorry about that whole roe vs wade thing, better luck next time champ.

wrong
As the 40th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision takes place on Tuesday, a majority of Americans – for the first time – believe abortion should be legal in all or most cases, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

certainly, and there are women who are against it but sit in the abortion clinic with their precious entitled daughters getting them an abortion.
There are hypocrites on both sides of the debate.

I wouldn't worry about that.
just tell any potential mate your views on rape and that will assure you never have sex.

By all means let's punish the rape victim for having the audacity of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Good work! Next time she will know better!

missing my point.
some people think it is murder but allow exceptions or whatever.
some people dont think its murder but allow restrictions.
either it is, or it isn't.
this may not apply to you, but your reply to me had no bearing on my conundrum.

That's incorrect. It's rights aren't "whatever the hell its carrier says they are", it's what the law says. Bans on abortion after a certain amount of time are perfectly legal, so that child has protection under the law after that point, or a right to life if you will. You want un-equal protection based on how the child was conceived. You've already said this, so I don't know why you are protesting. What I'm saying is, if the child has that protection at X number of weeks, how the child was conceived should not matter.

And you only support the pro-choice agenda because you fear one day you will get a girl pregnant by accident and hope to be able to force her to have an abortion so you can duck your responsibility.
I can make up things about you too, buddy.
