My hobby has taken off and I'm in need of bookkeeping software. What do you suggest quickbooks?

Quickbooks is perfectly fine for a small business.
The real question is how important financial controls are to you. The choice of software matters only somewhat - there are lots of businesses that failed because the owners didn't focus on control.

I read this as beekeeping. Disappoint.

For a non-accountant, quickbooks is a fantastic tool.
I've heard very good things about Peachtree, but I have never used it.

Buy the online version of quick books. Think it's about $100 and I find it very useful
