That, and if she decides to breast feed, that can be emotionally taxing as well. Takes a while for the real milk to come in, baby hasn't learned how to latch properly, and she's super tired. Recipe for a meltdown.

This was rough.

My daughter is 5 months old now (wifes milk supply just dried up) which is a sad day for them and they get mommy guilt.

Before that, my daughter would not stay latched on in the hospital, leading my wife into a meltdown. It is basically the same mindset as when a man "cant perform".

She ended up pumping every day (every 3-4 hours) and we transferred the milk and bottle fed.

For her sake and mine, I am glad that the breast milk thing is over with.

Now the big boobs are back to normal.

We might have to make a decision about it because of physical issues with my wife, and even though it's something we can avoid, she's already feeling guilty about it. She loves the closeness when he feeds and yes, feels that "mommy guilt". We're past the 6 week mark, which is the most vital for him as far as getting what he needs. Hopefully we can continue, party because formula is expensive.
