I don't remember. And yes, I think a wife should take her husband's "suffering" into consideration. But really? Hours after the baby is born? There is no way that woman offered that. Mom was likely a mixture of tired and then loopy from the percocets we give them for pain and Dad saw an opportunity to take advantage of that

Six weeks is just the suggestion.
Don't be surprised if she needs more time to recover, there is also a mental recovery as well.

Yeah and it can be more if she had a c section as well. Even though nothing was "cut" down there....people forget that a c section is major surgery and sex isn't gonna help that incision heal.

I may know of someone who had sex with his wife less than 48 hrs after she had a c-sec for the birth of their son about 4-1/2 yrs ago. Though it wasn't full blown join at it, it's my understanding that they in fact have intercourse....from what I hear anyway. Is he proud of it, no. He understands that it was an incredible risk and is ashamed, but sometimes when the mood hits......
