yeah it comes pretty much setup already. it runs android and xbmc. I havent used it much yet but everything that I have searched for was available. there is much much more to learn though.


still confused..doesnt this downsample 1080p down to 720p during playback?

its still not a true 1080p device right?

some stuff is some stuff isnt. I think in a future firmware everything will be. regardless, most of the stuff I am watching isnt gonna be 1080p anyway, so I dont care.

with the android firmware, it's only 720p

I have an MX2 clone box running linux that does 1080p. Turn it on and it boots directly into XBMC

Check out croniccorey or jaybob linux builds for AML8726-MX
