Somewhat off topic but I always wondered what the hate for Brady was all about. I didn't consider him a top 20 coach but he had a couple of decent years at LSU & a final 4 run but he never seem to connect to the LSU fanbase. A lot of people I met despised him. His attitude did come off somewhat cocky and unapproachable.

An insufferable prick who, when his seat got warm, would do just enough to save his job for another year.

Eventually, he wound up pissing off the wrong people.

Might of been the fact he had 3 season above .500 in SEC play in 11 years.

Brady was horrible as a manager of the program. He was an able coach when he had decent players, but he was not able to fill a roster with decent players on a consistent basis. He had a tendency to recruit players who lacked athleticism, and his teams frequently looked overmatched. In hindsight, it looks like he got lucky twice in finding enough athletic players who were willing to come to LSU. And that just wasn't good enough.

Dude alienated everyone at every level, players, fans assistants, fans, high school coaches...everyone.

Now IMHO he was a better bench coach and X and O coach than either Trent or CJJ, especially defensively where he really put together great game plans as well as a defensive system that was consistent.

But his manner undermined his strengths.

The irony was in his first speach upon taking the LSU job he emphasized relationships as the main ingredient to success and that's the area that he failed at miserably.
