Will Davis...

Did anyone notice the calls from Will Davis on Fraley being thrown out at 3rd in 7th, and Ibarra not taking 3rd in the 9th?
I know KRob ran through the stop sign against ULL, but what about yesterday?

Will Davis doesn't deserve that job.

I think Fraley took 3rd on his own.

No he did not. Watch the replay. Plus, Davis sent Moore home and he was out by a mile. He also wasn't even watching the play when Robertson got thrown out by ULL. Him being on the coaching staff at LSU is an absolute joke. The dude
Knows zero about baseball and I wouldn't even want him coaching my daughters tball team.

How long can he afford to be a volunteer coach.
Javi and Will need to take a lower school gig.

How did LSU win the SEC and go to Omaha last year with all of these coaches who don't know anything about baseball?

I believe will is getting paid at this point.

I wish we would have kept Blake Dean and let Davis go to UNO.

He clearly gave Robertson the stop sign.
Not sure about the other shite.

Also the Coaches Committee allows some of their donations to be used to supplement the assistant coaches. When I first joined I had to sign a statement agreeing that the head coach could do that as his discretion.

Blows my mind that year after year we use the same approach to running the bases no matter who is in the coaching box at 3rd, and yall havent figured it out yet. We are and have been an overly aggressive team on the bases for 7 years. And we typically are way too aggressive early on and revert back a little bit the deeper we get into sec play.

If that's the case, why didn't Ibarra take 3rd after the ball got away from the CFer in the 9th? He scores on Stevenson's dribbler up the line.

Well its sounds like the world is falling, who would of thought.
He wouldn't be on a premier team if he didn't know his stuff. I've talked to the guy personally plenty of times to know that guy watches more film in one day than most people on here watch TV in one week. So he probably has a better of idea of the percentages of the outfielders making the throw home 'accurately' more than us.
KRob ran a huge red light, that occasion had nothing to do with Davis.
I don't really know exactly what happened with Moore, but I imagine he wanted the left fielder to make the play and he did so. This was Yale's first series and I doubt Yale has had a lot of practice outside the batting cages and bullpen.
I did not watch the game yesterday so Ibarra and Fraley I have no idea about.
But sitting behind the dugout I regularly see the players getting grilled by CPM not Davis, when someone fouls up on the bases.
We made it to the CWS last year, teams don't make it there with bad coaches. Its baseball, teams don't go undefeated.

Will is a good coach and great representative for the university. I can't say whether he is the most qualified as a 3rd Base coach or not, but Paul Mainieri gave him the job so that tells me he probably is. Chill out with the criticism from one game/series.
