Damn. Just trying to drum up some excitement for north LA beer. Should be bottling it this summer. They had kegs at the tap room this weekend and back in the fall at Rotolos. It is very very good. Best DIPA I have had that LA produced. GitM is an excellent beer too. No room for hate here. Just love.

If it is as great as y'all say, that would be awesome. But let's not put the cart before the horse. A few random kegs here and there doesn't exactly qualify it for the LA craft beer pantheon. I'll be excited to try some when they have their first major release of it.

First time for this one too. I'm surprised this doesn't get more love.

If it's not a DIPA, barrel aged, or sour, it won't

Eta: also must be a hard to get limited release or cost $15/bottle

Tonight's a whiskey kind of night, gentlemen...a little Balcones Single Malt hits the spot. Just opened this and it's delicious

Much to the chagrin of Ham, I'll only be drinking half the bomber tonight.

On that note, what is the best regularly available beer that doesn't fall in one of those categories but still gets a lot of love?

Founders Breakfast Stout
Weihenstephaner Hefe
St. Bernardus Abt 12
Old Raspy

I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple

ETA - I'm bored tonight

Took a break to make some tacos for dinner and regroup. About to watch more House Of Cards and prep my liver for tomorrow morning.

I know, it's crazy to think how many top notch beers I pass over every time I go to Specs to grab the hot, new beer that just hit the market.

I just get locals more and more lately (since we have decent options now)

Envie, south coast, and parade ground are the go tos for us now. Every now and them I mix in. Southern tier ipa or sweetwater ipa.

SBD is the best wedding party favor ever. A bourbon barrel aged chocolate stout.

Glad to hear Orpheus was fun. I wanted to make it out but woke up super early then had a long day in the quarter. Needed a night to chill at home.
