They've put out Tangled and Frozen over the last 4 years whereas Pixar has put out Cars 2 and Monsters University.

Pixar definitely needs to come out with an original feature though.
I think there is one where the characters are emotions personified that they are working on, but I haven't heard anything about that project in a while.

Next three Pixar films...
Inside Out (June 2015): "Riley, the once happy-go-lucky pre-teen, is uprooted from her pleasant life in Minnesota and thrust into a new, unwelcome existence in San Francisco. That's when the emotions take over, much to the chagrin of her baffled parents. Anger, Disgust, Fear, Sadness and Joy spar, collaborate and miscommunicate with one another in an attempt to keep her functioning, and find new friends."
The Good Dinosaur (November 2015): "The Good Dinosaur? asks the generations-old question: What if the cataclysmic asteroid that forever changed life on Earth actually missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? The film is a humorous and exciting original story about Arlo, a lively 70-foot-tall teenage Apatosaurus with a big heart. After a traumatic event rattles Arlo?'s tranquil community, he sets out on a quest to restore peace, gaining an unlikely companion along the way - ?a young human boy named Spot."
Finding Dory (June 2016): Yeah...
Pixar also has a Dia de Los Muertos film in the works, and there are three other projects lined up through 2018. The second Incredibles movie is a rumor at the moment.
Basically, Pixar has a chance to turn it around with these next two.

Bump for the Academy Award win.

Isn't Disney and Pixar one and the same now? A win for Disney is pretty much a win for Pixar, and vice versa. John Lasseter made Pixar and now he has his personal stamp of approval on the Disney animation as well. As long as Lasseter is involved, both studios will make awesome movies.

Pixar is still their own studio. The team behind Frozen is separate. Before every Pixar movie you see their logo. With Tangled and Frozen all you see is Disney Animation Studio.

Pretty sure I'm right. Like I said...the reason why Disney all of the sudden caught up to Pixar when Tangled came out is because Lasseter was involved.

until Disney animation get's a best pic nomination than it can't claim to be better than pixar.

Pixar won't have a release this year, but I'm really excited about their next movie "The Inside Out". I'd say its probably the most ambitious effort of Pixar since WALL-E, and really can't wait to see where they take it. It's honestly a bit early to see if Disney has overtaken them, although they've had a bit of a mini-Renaissance since "The Princess and the Frog".

Well, there's no debate that I'm right. When Disney acquired Pixar quite a few years ago, they acquired the genius of John Lasseter.
Lasseter is executive producer of all Pixar movies, but he also is executive producer for Tangled and Frozen.
If anyone wants to know why Disney is so good now, look no further than Lasseter and realize that Disney animation is successful due to the creative genius behind all Pixar movies.

Lasseter is also behind the shitastic Cars series.

Lasseter is also behind the terrific Pixey Hollow (Tinkerbell) cartoons on Disney which preceded Tangled. If you have children, you should be very familiar with Pixey Hollow.
Solid series.

Don't forget that Lasseter was fired by Disney while he was creating the atrocious Brave Little Toaster (2D). He finished the film on his own and it ended up being a disappointment.
Not long after, he was creating shorts at Pixar.

Lassiter is the one behind Toy Story and saved Toy Story 2 from being blah...He did much more than that as an Exec. Real strategy / focus behind the scenes guy during all of PIXARs great run...
He also LOVES the old Disney animation studio.
My theory is he felt partially responsible for killing it and is in the process of resurrecting it.
While the stronger child, PIXAR, is going through growing pains....
