Anyone see the Dutchtown/Hammond game? Hammond put up 70 something to beat Helen Cox but only scored 35 against Dutchtown. Is their defense that good?

Hammond was very streaky offensively this year. Shot a lot of 3's. Dutchtown has some big guards that can contest outside looks.

I was there when they played PCC a few years ago in the 2nd round. Very tough place to play, but I'd think North Webster is the favorite.

Did they have the band playing?? I've been in there several times for big games with the band playing. I swear I have permanent hearing loss!!!! LOUD

They did not. There were fans standing all along the baselines. Was crazy packed. Hard to believe that was four years ago.

PCC was really good that year, and really coulda shoulda won that game. I remember Donaldsonville got crushed by Jonesboro-Hodge I believe in the next round.

Officials are assigned from neutral associations

I realize that. I should have said "influenced by" the home crowd. In any case you would hope that the best officials are calling the playoff games and are doing their best to be fair.

The 5A race will be interesting...... Chalk says Scotlandville and St Aug but there are some good teams in the running. Higgins has one of the better players I've see all year. EA, McKinley, and Dtown can play with anyone too.

big guards

To my knowledge their 3 out of their 4 guards are average sized if not below average. I know that they have one big guard/combo

True, but these two would meet in the semis.

Landry/Walker at Salmen should be a good one in 4A. Neither team has been seriously challenged in the playoffs yet.

Damn you're right. Forgot about the 2 seed Nat Central. 5A quarter finals are loaded.

Country Day and Christian Life should be a good one as always, but CD is missing Romin Williams and Scott Plaisance will be playing with a bum ankle so I think that gives the edge to CL.
