Completely agree that V for Vendetta has a good message. We shouldn't trust our government/become sheeple.

V for Vendetta's message is f'n horrible. V is far worse than the government in the film, which is pretty difficult to do, as it is pretty abhorrent. But the whole subplot of abducting and torturing Natalie Portman so she could share his experience is so disturbing and morally wrong that I'm flabbergasted anyone could consider him a hero even in the slightest. He fights an evil institution by being even more evil. Just because you oppose something awful doesn't make you any good. The biggest opposition to the Nazis were the communists, for example.

The clarence thomas moment in Jerry McGuire... throw that crap in there on a really enjoyable movie and doubly retarded when you consider who was president when the movie was released.
