@FFD: Jimmy Graham and the Saints remain several million dollars per season apart according to @MikeGarafolo.

@FFD: According to Mike's sources, the Saints are willing to make Graham the highest paid TE in the NFL. Graham wants roughly $12mil per yr.

If he really wants that much...then it's best to just trade him.

All part of negotiations. You highball, they lowball and eventually you meat in the middle. Nothing to see here

Didn't he say he would retire if Drew Brees wasn't his QB?

About that time, Jimmy.

Yeah that's what I was afraid of and yeah frick that.

And I know high ball low ball blah blah blah but even at $10m it seems kind of high(and as high as what would be palatable for me).

Tag him, fight the designation battle, and if we win we win. If we lose leave him on the tag this year(still cheaper than $12m) and see if he actually progresses. If he can be a more complete player and not get bullied by smaller guys than consider paying him. If not then bye.

Holy frick. Bye Jimmy. Thanks for the picks.

Non-exclusive tag time bitches.

Send him to Buffalo or Oakland and see how he fairs.

That's basically top 5 WR money correct? FRICK THAT.

Jimmy has been shut down by top corners in the league. A top 5 receiver can beat those guys....at least once.

I'll keep saying we need to pay him just a little more a year than the Gronk deal. If he still wants more....then there just isn't much else to be done.

Not reading this same ole thread again, but.....

Everybody needs to calm down bc this is just part of the negotiations.

Ripping apart Jimmy right now so we can justify not paying him, is just idiotic. I'll freak out once something actually happens.

Sure, let him become the highest paid TE in history. Just somewhere else. Drew Brees has made household names out of Marques Colston (7th rounder), Lance Moore (undrafted), Kenny Stills (5th round), Jimmy Graham himself (3rd rounder), and numerous other guys. I'm sorry but you have to draw a line somewhere with all of these guys wanting over 10 million a year. We could go out and sign Branden Albert, Alex Mack, hell maybe both of them for that kind of money.

I know this is part of negotiations, but no way he gets that much from us, nor should he. I wouldn't go over 8 million a year. If he wants more, than he can get it somewhere else.

I still haven't gotten over him completely disappearing in the biggest game of the year.
