I am on the Kistler wagon at the moment, but I think I might pull the trigger on the Kovert next. I am in the market for a M or MH / Moderate tip for treble hook baits.
I will have:
7'3 H/XF - Frog, swimbait, jig
6'6 MH/F - Spinnerbait/buzzbait
6'10 M/XF Spinning - Soft Plastics (If i can learn to like it)
Needing 7' +/- M or MH/Moderate for cranks (treble hook baits)

I have a BPS Crankin' Stick hybrid glass/graphite rod for cranks I really like. I was skeptical at first but it does a good job. But it is pretty much dedicated to that. Anything else and it has too much give to properly work a bait that the fisherman imparts the action and is too slow on hookset

I have one just like that . It's one of the jade wood Denali cranking sticks . It serves it purpose and is a really good cranking rod but has no purpose other than that

Thats what Im afraid of, getting it and only being able to use it for cranks (which I rarely ever throw).
If I surpass the dedicated crank rod, I would get a t-rigged soft plastics (mainly senko) rod.
If I did get the crank rod, I would have to use my spinning rod for soft plastics (which I am not really liking at all, nor do I know if it is the correct application.)

I bought a BPS spiral graphite a long time ago. Bought from catalog, so was unaware of the action. Slow as hell and somewhat parabolic. Was pissed until I realized how good it would be for cranks and traps.

I prefer a baitcaster for soft plastics especially texas rigged. I find with it hard to get a spinning setup with a enough backbone and a fast enough tip for my liking when it comes to that. Also when I set the hook hard with a txrig or Carolina rig I tend to rack my knuckles on the bail of the spinning reel if I am using one.
That being said I like a spinning rod for tube bait fishing because I use as light of a tube weight as possible. I will admit I don't drop shot much and a spinning rod seems like the perfect setup for that too.

I only use a spinning rig for a popping cork

Good point I forgot wacky.
Ever through a normal ribbon tailed worm rigged texposed with out a weight. I usually use a baitcast ML or M.
Great small water bait.

I rarely throw wacky and dont drop shot at all. Spinning combo doesnt really have a place with me besides throwing 1/4oz spinnerbaits. Might end up unloading it...

Product registration asked if I would rather be a Pirate or a Ninja. I hope I did not screw that up.
